Supply List
- Friendship Strips and Scraps by Edyta Sitar (available at Sew Always)
- Sewing Machine with a 1/4" foot and a zigzag foot
- 6 1/2" X 24" or 6 1/2" X 12" ruler (or your favorite strip ruler)
- Rotary Cutter
- Light fusible webbing (available at Sew Always)
- Fabric for the houses a variety of medium to darks cut into 56 strips 1 1/4" wide
- Fat eight for each roof
- Variety of scraps for birds, fruit, windows, and doors
- 3/4 yard brown for branches and stems
- 1/2 yard assorted reds for inner border
- 2 1/2 yards cream for foundation blocks and inner border
- 5/8 yard for outer border
The Farmhouse quilt will work with a wide variety of colors, prints and categories of fabric. Zita will walk you through machine applique and piecing with strip sets. HOMEWORK: Zita requests you make your strip sets before classes begin. She made 12 different sets that measured 12" X 12".
